We are proud to offer services of osteopathy to the Ottawa area.

Osteopathy is a manual therapy founded by Andrew Taylor Still in 1856 and is based on the understanding that the body has a natural ability to self-heal and self-regulate. Osteopathy looks at the body as a whole unit of function and aims to find the source of pain or discomfort. As such, practitioners do not treat symptoms or conditions, rather they examine the entire structure to find the cause. Through either our daily habits or injury, our bodies become misaligned. This causes disruptions to the way our nerves, arteries, veins, and lymphatics operate, which in turn causes further disruptions to other functions. When placed back in proper alignment, however, we perform without restriction and are better able to naturally treat disease and discomfort. Osteopathic Manual Practitioners are highly trained in anatomy and physiology and perform gentle, manual adjustments to align the anatomy to affect both the nervous and skeletal systems. Osteopathy can help patients with a wide range of symptoms to improve overall quality of life. With less restriction, your body will self-heal, self-regulate, and function as intended.
